I am ready to reveal a secret! I have another postcard, it arrived today, and it’s ready to go in my shop! This one is one of my acrylic painted girls. It is a 4 1/8″X5 1/2″ printed postcard. This is one of my favourite pages I have done in a white. It is just a collage page, which has been white washed. Then I traced my hands. One I coloured, and made messy. The other I just left plain white. I like the opposites of these elements. Especially when they come in at different directions. It is uncomplicated. And it makes me happy to look at.
I made this journal a couple weeks ago. It was my first coptic journal. I don’t know why, but I never make anything for hubby. (friends, family, myself, but not him) Mostly cause when I do offer, he says ‘No, thank you.’ But I had decided that it was his turn. He likes turtle, so I sat him down and made him go through a book of animal patterns. I was not overly surprise when this was the pattern he chose. I am very impressed with my first try. And I hope he is. Maybe he will let me make something for him again some day…
